Committee Description:

The Special Political and Decolonization Committee, commonly referred to as the Fourth Committee or SPECPOL, is one of the six main committees in the United Nations General Assembly. This committee deals with a varying set of political issues, including UN peacekeeping and dealing with keeping the outer space peaceful. Most of its time is taken up by issues relating to the Middle East and decolonization. In this committee, delegates will be discussing possible solutions for two agenda items which are "Addressing Forced Displacement in War-Torn Regions” and “Preventing Space Militarization”. It is crucial for delegates to have fruitful debates in order to find solutions for the agenda items.
