Committee description:

The formal inter-parliamentary Nordic cooperation between the Nordic nations is governed by the Nordic Council. It was established in 1952 and consists of 87 representatives from the independent regions of Greenland, Åland Islands, Faroe Islands, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. The representatives are chosen by their respective national or local parliaments and serve as members of those legislatures. Delegates will be representatives of a specific region's parliament, as opposed to representing states as it its the case of traditional committees. They will discuss socio-cultural and political issues and make decisions regarding the fate of the Nordic region.

In the first agenda item delegates will discuss how immigration and immigrants are affecting Nordic region. In the recent years, uncontrolled migration has caused a lot of different problems in many regions. Delegates will be aiming to find solutions and alternative ways for denouement.

In the second agenda item, delegates will discuss the impact of trade with the Russian Federation and how international circumstances affecting their trade policies. Because of the various conflicts, trade bonds between Russia and Nordic Region is affected in many different ways. Delegates should evaluate these aspects and create possible solutions for existing and possible problems.
